    Cyclists Briton John and Clavecia Spencer were the top male and female riders respectively at the fourth LonLam Cycling Classic organised by the Linden Bauxite Flyers Cycling Club last weekend.

    John of We Stand United Cycling Club came ahead of Team Foundation’s Jamual John and Paul DeNobrega of Team Evolution, while following Spencer were Susan Hamilton and Shenika Texeira.

    Alex Europe took the Juvenile race, while the two veteran races were won by Walter Grant-Stuart and Andy Spencer.

    The Junior category was won by Alex Leung, with Sherwin Sampson second and Aaron Newton third.

    The top female riders

    According to a release from the club, Linden Bauxite Flyers Cycling Club had partnered with the LonLam Committee to organise the fourth LonLam Classic and it was hosted under the theme, “Investing in Passion, Riding with Integrity.”

    Over G$400,000 worth of cash and trophies were won and the club expressed thanks for additional support from Banks DIH Limited, Guyana Breweries Inc., KD&J Supermarket, Cevon’s Waste Management, Brazo’s Workshop and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
