    Three more unvaccinated people who tested positive for COVID-19 died on Friday, taking the country’s death toll to 971.

    These latest deaths also mean that 42 people have died for the month of November thus far.

    A 27-year-old man from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) is among the latest deaths; two females, a 53-year-old from Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) and a 66-year-old from Region Four also died on Friday.

    Meanwhile, 94 new COVID-19 cases were recorded from 1, 252 tests, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 37, 184.

    The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region Three (19 cases); Region Four (34 cases); Region Five (six cases); Region Six (11 cases); Region Seven (three cases); Region Eight (two cases); Region Nine (six cases) and Region Ten (13 cases).

    There are 13 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 60 are in institutional isolation and 1, 818 are in home isolation.

    To date, 34, 322 persons have recovered from the dreaded virus.
