November COVID-19 death toll moves to 50; 79 new cases
A 55-year-old fully vaccinated man from Region Six (East Berbice- Corentyne) is Guyana’s latest COVID-19 death, according to information provided by the Ministry of Health.
With this new death, a total of 980 people have been confirmed dead from COVID-19 since March 11, 2020. Importantly, 50 of those deaths were recorded in the month of November so far.
Meanwhile, another 79 individuals were infected with the disease COVID-19. These new infections were recorded after 1,266 tests were done. With these new cases, the total number of confirmed infections has increased to 37,524.
These new cases were recorded in: Region One (three new cases), Region Two (five cases), Region Three (seven cases), Region Four (24 cases), Region Five (two cases), Region Six (37 cases) and Region Seven (one case).
There are also 12 patients receiving care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 75 people are in institutional isolation, 1,722 people are in home isolation and three people are in institutional quarantine.
Meanwhile, a total of 34,822 people have recovered after they were infected with COVID-19.
