CANU seizes over $15M worth of ganja, two arrested
Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) on Friday seized a total of 48.4 kg (107lbs) of cannabis that has a street value of over G$15M.
A press release from CANU noted that ranks conducted a search operation at Lot 1067, New Glasgow Housing Scheme, Edinburgh East Bank Berbice, during which several parcels containing cannabis were discovered in the presence of two individuals who were at the house.
Thirty-four- year-old Candacy Bennett called Pinky of the mentioned address along with Dilon Cadogan called Scar of Pepper Street, Edinburgh, were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters along with the cannabis.
