    A 55-year-old unvaccinated man from Region Six (East Berbice- Corentyne) and a 99-year-old unvaccinated man from Region Eight (Potaro- Siparuni) are the country’s latest COVID-19 deaths, according to information provided by the Ministry of Health.

    Both of these men died on November 25. With these new deaths, a total of 985 people have been confirmed dead since March 11, 2020. Importantly, 54 of those deaths were recorded in the month of November so far.

    Meanwhile, another 50 individuals were infected with the disease; these new infections were recorded after 1,197 tests were done. With these new cases, the total number of confirmed infections has increased to 37,663.

    These new cases were recorded in: Region One (two new cases), Region Two (two cases), Region Three (four cases), Region Four (20 cases), Region Five (two cases) and Region Six (20 cases).

    There are also 15 patients receiving care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 65 people are in institutional isolation, 1,376 people are in home isolation and six people are in institutional quarantine.

    Meanwhile, a total of 35,222 people have recovered from the virus.
