Motorcyclist dies in NA crash

A 28-year-old man identified as Rodrigues Anthon died Saturday afternoon after he lost control of the motorcycle (CH 2475) he was driving and crashed.

Police Headquarters reported that the accident occurred at about 17:30hrs at Asylum Street, New Amsterdam, Region Six.

Anthon of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, was reportedly speeding along the northern side of the road without a helmet when he lost control and ended up in a drain. Police said Anthon then pitched off the motorcycle and landed on a building.

He was picked up in an unconscious condition by public-spirited citizens and taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
