Joshua Jack, 20, a motorcyclist suffered a broken leg after he collided with motorcar PKK 5325 while attempting to overtake the vehicle.
Police Headquarters reported that the accident occurred at Hope Public Road, East Coast Demerara on Saturday at about 22:30hrs.
Pillion rider, Neavon Evans, 19, was also injured. The car was being driven by 56-year-old Everton Parkes.
According to the police report, the car was proceeding south along the eastern side of the road when Parkes alleged that the motorcycle CL 2981 attempted to overtake him and collided with the right-side rear of the car.
As a result of the collision, Jack and Evans fell of the bike and sustained injuries.
They were picked up by public-spirited citizens and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where they are admitted.
A breathalyzer test conducted on the driver of the car found no traces of alcohol.
