Guyanese Chandrapaul Hemraj played second fiddle to Rahmanullah Gurbaz as Delhi Bulls crushed Chennai Braves by 10 wickets in the Abu Dhabi T10 on Wednesday.

The victory secured the Bulls’ spot in the playoff.

Hemraj, on T10 debut, cracked an unbeaten 24 off nine balls, inclusive of three fours and a six, as Bulls gunned down a target of 81 in just 4.1 overs.

The left-hander was the perfect foil for Gurbaz, who was in imperious form, smashing six sixes and five fours in 57* off 16.

Chennai Braves earlier made 80-4 with Angelo Perera making 40 off 24 and Mark Deyal 22* off 21.

West Indian pair Romario Shepherd and Dwayne Bravo and Englishman Adil Rashid picked up a wicket each.

In the other game on Wednesday, Deccan Gladiators whipped Bangla Tigers by 62 runs.

Opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore blazed 96 off 39 balls in Gladiators’ 140-1, before Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga bagged 5-8 to help dismiss Tigers for 78 in 8.3 overs.
