Police are on the hunt for two bandits who invaded the Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara home of two sisters on Tuesday night.
Police Headquarters reported that the victims – a 29-year-old waitress and a 20-year-old cashier – were robbed of a grey and black Samsung Galaxy electronic tablet valued at $40,000; a silver iPad in a brown case (value unknown) and one rose gold iPhone 8 Plus valued at $140,000; a peach coloured purse containing an identification card, Republic Bank Card, N.I.S card and $15,000 in cash.
According to the police report, one of the women went into the veranda at around 21:00hrs when the two men accosted her with a handgun and a knife.
The suspect with the gun discharged a round in her direction, pulled her into the house and demanded money; he lashed her to the forehead with the gun.
Her sister then handed over the items. The suspects escaped through the veranda door.
