Permission granted for fully vaccinated patrons at Bodybuilding Seniors
The Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GBBFF) has been given the green light to have only fully vaccinated patrons attend the Senior Championships on December 19 at the National Cultural Centre.
A release from the Federation on Thursday evening revealed that the National COVID-19 Task Force though the Minister of Health has granted approval for the GBBFF to allow entry to a maximum of 200 patrons, who must be fully vaccinated.
“This permission was granted on the condition that the GBBFF must follow all the guidelines as set out in the Gazetted Order on COVID-19”, the release stated. The Federation further indicated that tickets will soon go on sale for the event.
The GBBFF has hosted events during the pandemic, but all have been behind closed doors, as the Federation resorted to live-streaming.
While on stage athletes will be required to stand six feet apart from each other. At backstage athletes will be required to wear their masks and to maintain the mandatory physical distancing. Judges will be seated six feet from each other and will be required to wear their masks.
There will be about 30 athletes competing in the three different segments of the competition, namely Bodybuilding, Miss Bikini and Men’s Physique.
