Police in the wee hours of Saturday arrested a man and seized a .40 Glock pistol and three matching rounds.
Police said the ranks went to the 31-year-old man’s Company Road, Buxton, East Coast Demerara home at around 04:25hrs after a report was made that he discharged a loaded firearm at a 28-year-old female just about two hours earlier.
When police arrived at the house, the suspect was in his room with the firearm in his hand and was attempting to hide it in the room, the police report noted.
The police were able to retrieve it from him.
The suspect was then escorted to the Vigilance Police Station along with two female occupants of the house.
An investigation is ongoing.
