Police have arrested two men, a vendor and taxi driver, after some 13.4 pounds of marijuana was discovered at a West Ruimveldt, Georgetown premises Tuesday afternoon.
Police Headquarters said in a statement that based on intelligence, ranks searched the premises where the illegal drug was unearthed in 114 packets.
It is suspected that the ganja was package for sale.
The search was carried out at about 18:00hrs.
The narcotic was lodged and the suspects were placed in custody at the East La Penitence Police Station pending charges.
