The parked lorry is owned by Harish Kupsammy of Gangaram, East Canje.

An injured Sheodarsom told police that David was driving PSS 820 south along the eastern drive lane at a fast rate after leaving the Hommie Bar and Restaurant when he lost control of and crashed into the front right side of the lorry which was parked on the western side of the road facing north.
