A party of policemen in the wee hours of Thursday discovered the body of an unidentified man of East Indian descent laying naked along the De Hoop Public Road, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara.
According to a police report, the body had what appeared to be a gaping wound to the forehead with bruises about his body; his right eye appeared to be pushed out of its socket and brain matter was on the road.
His body was taken to the Mahaciony Cottage Hospital and then to the Anthony Funeral Home awaiting identification. Further investigations are underway.
