Sparta Boss and Gold is Money recorded comfortable wins on Thursday night when action in the Guyana Football Federation/Kashif and Shanghai year-end Futsal Championship continued at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue, Georgetown.

The victories secured both teams passage to the quarter-finals.

Sparta Boss inflicted a 5-1 drubbing on California Square, with five of its players- Sheldon Shepherd, Kelsey Benjamin, Gregory Richardson, Nicholas McArthur and Eusi Phillips- getting on the scoresheets.

Antwone Vasconellas scored the solitary goal for California Square.

Gold is Money outplayed Foot Steppers 3-0 with Andrew Murray leading the charge with a double and Trayon Bobb scoring the other goal.

Berbice All Stars had to dig deep to defeat East Coast side Melanie 4-3 with Tyrese Williams scoring a hat-trick for the Ancient County and Dane Johnson adding a goal.

Melanie got their goals off the cleats of Denze Junor, Clevon Barnwell and Phillip Williams.

In the other game of the night, Vengy and North East played to 5-5 draw, forcing penalty kicks into the equation, which North East won 4-3.
