32 new COVID-19 cases recorded

Guyana’s total confirmed COVID-19 cases has increased to 39, 151 with the addition of 32 new infections recorded on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health reported.

Those new cases were recorded from 613 COVID-19 tests and were recorded in the following regions: Region Four (25 cases), Region Five (three cases), Region Six (one case), Region Nine (one case) and Region 10 (two cases).

No new deaths were recorded, and so, the total remains at, 1,050 with December recording 50 thus far.

Meanwhile, there are also seven patients receiving care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 31 people are in institutional isolation, 598 people are in home isolation and three persons are in institutional quarantine.

Meanwhile, a total of 37,465 people have recovered after they were infected with COVID-19.
