Police have arrested two men in connection with the discovery of counterfeit United States money which were found in a house at Dr Miller Street, Triumph, East Coast Demerara.
Those arrested are a 22-year-old and a 29-year-old. According to the police, ranks in the division went to a home at the said location at around 17:30hrs, where a cordon and search was conducted.
Police found nineteen US$20 bills all bearing serial # LL 000000000; a US$50 bill and one US$100 bill.
“The two suspects who were present were arrested and escorted to the Beterverwagting Police Station where they were placed into custody and the notes were lodged pending investigations,” the police release concluded.
