Decomposed body of man, 26, found in Timehri house

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 26-year-old Ron Loncke of Circuitville, Timehri, East Bank Demerara, whose decomposed body was found on his bed.

Police Headquarters reported that the discovery was made by the man’s friend identified as Decius Mundo, 53, on Wednesday at around 12:32 hrs.

Police said Loncke lived alone in a small shack, measuring about 10 feet in width and 10 feet in length.

The father told the police that the young man suffered from epilepsy and was last seen alive on Monday.

According to the police, the man’s friend was passing the area and observed the door open. He stopped to check on him since he had not seen him for several days. As he approached the building, he started getting a foul scent and as he peeped inside, he observed the bloated body of Loncke on the bed.

Police said there were no signs of breakage or forced entry and everything inside the house appeared normal. There were also no signs of struggle or marks of violence on the body.

The body is at the Memorial Gardens Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
