A 28-year-old man of Canal Bank, Port Kaituma, North West District died on Sunday after he was pinned by an ATV.
Dead is Steve Ashby; he was the pillion rider. Police Headquarters reported that the accident occurred at about 18:40hrs along the Main Access Road at Nassano Backdam.
The driver of the motorcycle, a Brazilian national called ‘Ahoo’, reportedly fled the scene.
According to reports, Ahoo was proceeding south along the road when he lost control and turned turtle, pinning Ashby under.
He was taken to the Port Kaituma District Hospital and pronounced dead. Investigations are ongoing.
