Stepfather wanted for murder of teen

Police Headquarters has issued a wanted bulletin for murder suspect, 30-year-old Shawn Bobb. Bobb is wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of his stepson, 19-year-old Isaiah Edwards.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Shawn Bobb is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 227-2603, 226-6978, 226-6221, 219-3252, 227-1149, 225-8196, 268-2328, 268-2298/2222, 226-7065, 911 or the nearest police station.

Edwards, a construction worker, died on Thursday, hours after he was reportedly stabbed by his stepfather.

Edwards of East La Penitence Squatting Area, Georgetown, tested positive for COVID-19 after he was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital to receive treatment for the stab wound to his right hip on Wednesday evening.

He was then transferred to the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown, where he eventually died at around noon on Thursday.

According to the police report, Edwards tried to save his mother who was being abused by the stepfather; the man had picked up a knife and attacked the woman because she did not finish cooking in time.

The woman was also stabbed during the ordeal and is hospitalised in a stable condition.
