Police in Region Two on Saturday afternoon busted two Venezuelan nationals with a large quantity of compressed marijuana at a house in Johanna Cecelia, Essequibo Coast.
A party of policemen conducted a search of the premises in their presence where 42 kilos (92.5 lbs) of leaves, seeds and stems compressed and wrapped in brown scotch tape were found in the ceiling of the said house.
The two men were arrested and escorted to the Suddie Police Station along with the suspected cannabis where they were placed into custody and the narcotic were weighed and lodged.
Further investigations are underway.
