The Guyana Prison Service and Guyana Police Force are on the hunt for a prisoner who escaped from the Lusignan Prison, East Coast of Demerara on Thursday morning.
Director of Prisons Nicklon Elliot confirmed to the News Room that the inmate is Kevin Singh but declined to provide further details. However, information suggests that the inmate escaped from the facility while waiting to attend virtual court.
Elliot indicated that ranks are on the ground combing the area. The News Room will provide more details as it becomes available.
