A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he crashed into a pothole along the Laluni Acess Road, Soesdyke/Linden Highway on Saturday night. Dead is Dave Taylor of Laluni.
Police Headquarters reported that the accident occurred at about 22:30hrs. Taylor was driving motorcycle CL 3900 with pillion rider, 17-year-old Vishal Bahadur when they entered a pothole with water and lost control.
According to the police, Taylor was speeding at the time of the accident.
Police said both Taylor and Bahadur fell on the road and were picked up by public-spirited citizens and taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where Taylor was pronounced dead.
Bahadur was subsequently referred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
