A 24-year-old man from the mining town of Linden, Region 10, is now in police custody after he was busted with marijuana at the Eugene F. Correia International Airport at Ogle, East Coast Demerara.

He has been identified as Jamal Millington of Amelia’s Ward, Linden.

The marijuana and other items associated with its use were discovered concealed in Pringles packages on February eight.

The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit in a statement would only say that the man was an outgoing passenger, but it is suspected that he was headed to a country in the region.

Millington was arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters with the suspected narcotic, where it was tested and proven to be cannabis weighing a total of 56.3 grams.
