Eighteen-year-old Elijah Profitt of Craig Street, Campbellville, Georgetown died on Thursday after he crashed into a parked pickup. Profitt, who was driving motorcycle CJ 7433, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Police Headquarters reported that the accident occurred at about 10:30hrs on Craig Street in the vicinity of Star Party Rental.
Police said a CCTV camera captured when the teen, who was speeding, crashed into the right-side rear of the vehicle, owned by Bryon Barakat.
Profitt suffered severe injuries to his head and body; he was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“It is not known at this stage if the motorcyclist was the holder of a provisional or driver’s licence,” police said.
