    Guyana’s COVID-19 death toll increased to 1, 190 with the death of two persons on February 10, the Ministry of Health reported. A 25-year-old unvaccinated woman from Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) and an 84-year-old fully vaccinated man from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) are the latest deaths. These deaths mean that 19 persons have died so far for February.

    Meanwhile, 95 new COVID cases were recorded from 812 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 62, 156.

    The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region One (four cases), Region Two (five cases), Region Three (four cases), Region Four (48 cases), Region Five (two cases), Region Six (two cases), Region Seven (one case), Region Eight (one case) and Region Nine (28 cases).

    There are 15 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 84 are in institutional isolation and 1, 937 are in home isolation.

    To date, 58, 930 have recovered from the virus.
