    An 83-year-old man of Region Four and a 56-year-old woman of Region Five are the latest recorded COVID-19 deaths, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

    Both victims were unvaccinated and died on February 20 and 21, respectively.

    A total of 1,213 deaths have now been recorded since March 2020 with 42 of those deaths occurring in February.

    Meanwhile, 12 new infections have been recorded from 198 COVID tests, increasing the country’s total confirmed cases to 62, 668.

    The cases were recorded in: Region Two (one case), Region Four (seven cases), Region Five (three cases) and Region Six (one case).

    There are also 11 patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 68 people are in institutional isolation, four people are in institutional quarantine and 772 people are in home isolation.

    Importantly, a total of 60,604 people have recovered after they were infected with the disease.
