Four more die from COVID; 35 new cases recorded

The Ministry of Health on Saturday reported that four more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.

This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1,220; of that amount, 49 people have died for this month thus far.

The details of the new deaths are below:

Meanwhile, Guyana recorded 35 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, taking the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 62, 891.

The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region Three (three cases), Region Four (25 cases), Region Five (two cases), Region Seven (three cases) and Region Nine (two cases).

There are 10 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 30 are in institutional isolation and 702 are in home isolation.

To date, 60, 929 people have recovered from the virus.
