Guyana recorded 18 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 62, 921.
Although four deaths were recorded on Saturday, none were reported on Sunday and Monday.
The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region Two (one case), Region four (13 cases) and Region five (one case) and Region Six (three cases).
There are eight patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 32 are in institutional isolation and 441 are in home isolation.
To date, 61, 219 people have recovered from the virus.
