25 new COVID-19 infections; 9 in ICU

A total of 25 new COVID-19 infections were reported by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, taking the total number of infections recorded since March 2020 to 62,946.

Importantly, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,220.

The new infections were recorded from: Region One (three cases), Region Two (six cases), Region Four (seven cases), Region Five (one case) and Region Six (eight cases).

There are also nine patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 34 people in institutional isolation, 10 people in institutional quarantine and 416 people in home isolation.

Importantly, a total of 61,267 people have recovered after they were infected with the disease.
