Proprietor of Mohamed’s Enterprise, Nazar ‘Shell’ Mohamed and his son, Azruddin Mohamed, who is the Managing Director, handed over four new cars to members of the public at their Lombard Street, Georgetown, location on Wednesday.

The younger Mohamed would have celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, and according to him, it is to help law-abiding citizens be in a stronger position to provide for themselves and family.

He explained: “These persons did not reach out to us or ask us for anything. It was truly a surprise to them. I have been going into various communities and assisting as much as I can, and based on conversations I had with some leaders from these communities, we selected these persons.”

“I have always been of the view that if you are in a position to help people, you must do so, and we will continue to help as much as we can”, he added.

The cars – three Toyota Fielder Wagons and one Toyota Premio – were paid in full by Mohamed’s Enterprise and will go towards the person’s daily livelihood.

The four beneficiaries are: Yussuf Mohammed Backhsh, Shabir Mohamed, Marvin Jarvis and Carring Samuel Hector.
