$16M in ganja found in car at No. 63 Village
Three persons are now in custody after the vehicle they were in was intercepted with marijuana that carries a street value of $16 million.
The vehicle was intercepted at No. 63 Village, Corentyne Berbice on Wednesday, according to a report from the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU).
The drugs were discovered in several parcels and weighed 1,181 lbs.
CANU said these operations are part of their efforts to curb the flow of narcotics in the region. Investigations are ongoing.
