A total of 22 new COVID-19 infections were reported by the Ministry of Health on Friday, taking the total number of infections recorded since March 2020 to 63,024.
Importantly, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remains at 1,223.
The new infections were recorded from: Region Two (one case), Region Three (one case), Region Four (16 cases), Region Five (three cases) and Region Nine (one case)
There are also five patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 22 people in institutional isolation, 12 people in institutional quarantine and 337 people in home isolation.
Importantly, a total of 61,473 people have recovered after they were infected with the disease.
