    The victim was clad in a dark long sleeve jersey, chartreuse green trunks, and a pair of grey long boots on his feet.

    The Guyana Police Force (GPF) is seeking the public’s help in ascertaining the identity of a man who was found dead at Barama Line, Baramita, North West District, Region One.

    According to the report, the alleged murder took place on Thursday.

    Police said the male victim is of Amerindian descent; his body was found with several deep wounds to the left side of his face and head in front of a camp/shop owned by a known male of the said area.

    Around 07:00hrs on the day in question, a report was made at the Baramita Police Station; ranks then went to the crime and took the body to the Baramita Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.

    The body was taken to the Port Kaituma Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.

    “The victim was clad in a dark long sleeve jersey, chartreuse green trunks, and a pair of grey long boots on his feet. He is fair in complexion, medium built about 5’5″ in height. His average age is early 20’s,” police said.

    Anyone with information that may lead to the identification of the deceased is asked to contact the police on numbers 620-6836, 625-1453, 226-6978, or 225-8196.

    Meanwhile, police said that the owner of the shop was arrested while investigations continue to locate the two men the victim was last seen with.
