Four in COVID ICU as 16 new cases recorded

A total of 16 new COVID-19 infections were reported by the Ministry of Health on Saturday taking the total number of cases recorded since March 2020 to 63,040.

Importantly, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,223.

The new infections were recorded from: Region One (one case), Region Two (three cases), Region Three (two cases), Region Four (eight cases), Region Six (one case) and Region Seven (one case).

There are also four patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 15 people are in institutional isolation, 11 people are in institutional quarantine, and 290 people are in home isolation.

Importantly, a total of 61,508 people have recovered after they were infected with the disease.
