Rawle Toney 3×3 Basketball winners receive spoils
Stanton Rose Jr., Harold Adams and Shelroy Thomas, who participated under the Linden banner, on Friday afternoon received their awards for winning the second Rawle Toney 3×3 Basketball Classic last month at the Burnham Basketball Court, Georgetown.
Linden defeated Royals 8-7 in the final and won the G$500,000 first-place prize along with the Andrew Ifill Championship trophy at the end of the two-night event.
They also received branded championship gold rings, compliments of Jacobs Jewellery and Pawnshop. Thomas, who was deemed the Most Valuable Player, got his prize compliments of Hennessy in the simple ceremony held at FireSide Grill on Garnett Street, Georgetown.
The second-place prize of G$100,000 was sponsored by E-Networks. According to the organiser, he is in the planning stages to host another 3×3 tournament, this time in his hometown of Linden in April.
