Superstock racer Matthew Vieira went down some notches, but still managed to be one of the top racers at the inaugural 592 Motor GT held at GT Motorsports on Saturday.

Vieira, racing in the 125 cc Supermoto category, won all three races to undoubtedly be deemed the day’s champion rider, while Amit Singh won the first two races in the Ruckus category and Chris Henry won the final one.

According to Vieira, they are hoping to keep another race in July and the ultimate aim is to bring the attention on biking as circuit racing is expected to resume soon, and bring new faces into the sport.

The Supermoto category was contested over eight and six laps, and the other competitors were Stephen Vieira, Steven Nobrega, Nicholas Boodram, Stephon Boodram, John Phang and Ravi Singh, while the Ruckus, which was held over four laps, also saw the likes of Vincent Henry and Gurdeo Nandalall.

Among the sponsors were Cyril’s Transportation, Professional Key Shop, Vieira 66 Logistics and 592 Bike Life.
