Rain forces postponement of Big Man Cricket final

Persistent rainfall on Sunday forced the postponement of the Big Man Cricket Banks Beer/Maximum Vodka 25-over final at the Georgetown Cricket Club, Bourda.

The organisers have opted to move the championship game to another date, with West Bank Warriors and Essequibo Eagles set to battle for top honours.

At stake will be G$500,000 and other incentives.

The two teams recorded victories at the semi-finals on Saturday at the same venue. West Bank Warriors defeated Georgetown by six wickets and Essequibo Eagles trounced Jai Hind Jaguars by nine wickets.
