An unvaccinated 34-year-old woman from Region Six who died on March 8 is Guyana’s latest COVID-19 death. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,224.
Now, four deaths have been recorded in March.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health also recorded another 14 COVID-19 infections.
With these new cases, the total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020, have increased to 63,090.
The new infections were recorded from: Region Two (two cases), Region Four (nine cases) and Region Six (three cases).
There are also four patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 16 people are in institutional isolation, 16 people are in institutional quarantine and 228 people are in home isolation.
And six people recovered after they were infected with the virus.
