10 new COVID cases; 7 in ICU

Guyana has recorded another 10 COVID-19 infections, increasing the number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020, to 63,144.

Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded leaving the overall death toll at 1,224.

The new infections were recorded from: Region Three (one case), Region Four (seven cases), Region Five (one case) and Region Six (one case).

There are also seven patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 12 people are in institutional isolation, eight people are in institutional quarantine and 202 people are in home isolation.

And a total of 61,699 people have recovered after they were infected with the virus.
