Albion beat Blairmont Blazers in Shameer Baksh memorial cricket

Albion defeated Blairmont Blazers on Sunday when the two teams clashed at the Albion Community Centre ground, Berbice.
The sides were part of the inaugural Shameer Baksh Memorial Cup. The late Baksh is the father of Shabeer Baksh, the proprietor of Big B’s Baksh Restaurant.
In the 50-over game, Albion defeated Blazers by seven wickets, while in a 10/10 contest, Albion prevailed by seven wickets.
Churning out notable performances were Guyana and West Indies leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo (4-17 and 2-11), West Indies all-rounder Kevin Sinclair (53), spinner Kelvin Umroa (2-19 and 4-11) and Jonathon Foo (19* and 43*).
