The Ramdhani siblings- Narayan and Priyanna- will now play in the third place matches of the 2022 Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) National Badminton Championship after losing their semi-final games on Friday evening in Alberta, Canada.
While Narayan, who copped the All Canadian Award 2022, is competing in the Men’s Singles, Priyanna has teamed up with Abbey Taylor in the Women’s Doubles.
Based on reports, there were questionable calls in Narayan’s semi-final contest against Kunal Sokar and that frustrated and demotivated the Guyanese who lost the three-set match 1-2.
Narayan had earlier finished in the top four of the Group Stage, winning four of his five games, while Priyanna and Taylor won two of their five Group Stage matches and lost at the semi-final.
Narayan will play Yuge Zeng in the bronze medal game on Saturday, while Priyanna and Taylor will come up against Salina He and Katie Liu, also on Saturday.
