11 new COVID cases, five in ICU

Guyana recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday but the country’s total active cases stand at 168.
The eleven new cases take the total number of confirmed cases since March 2020, to 63, 194.

The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region Four (eight cases), Region Five (one case), Region Six (one case) and Region ten (one case).

The total number of deaths stands at 1, 226 since no new deaths were reported. So far, six people have died for March.

There are five patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 12 patients are in institutional isolation and 139 are in home isolation.

To date, 61, 812 people have recovered from the dreaded virus.
