Priyanna cops bronze in Women’s Doubles; fourth place finish for Narayan

Guyana’s top female badminton player Priyanna Ramdhani copped bronze in the Women’s Doubles of the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) National Championship in Alberta, Canada, at the weekend.

The young Ramdhani teamed up with Abbey Taylor to win the third place game against Salina He and Katie Liu 18-21, 21-16, 21-16.

Priyanna’s brother Narayan, who won four of his five matches in the Group Stage of the Men’s Singles, lost his third place clash against Yuge Zeng 17-21, 11-21.

Narayan, the reigning Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Athlete-of-the-Year, also copped the CCAA All-Canadian Award this weekend.
