Only four new COVID cases from 1,500 tests

Guyana recorded four new COVID-19 cases from 1, 500 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases since March 2020, to 63, 239.

With these new cases, there are now 78 active COVID cases countrywide.

The new cases were reported in Region Three (two cases) and Region Four (two cases).

There are three patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, six patients are in institutional isolation and 69 patients are in home isolation. No additional deaths were recorded, as such the death toll remained at 1, 226.

To date, 61, 935 people have recovered.
