Active COVID cases now 78, three persons in ICU

Active COVID-19 cases in Guyana have now dropped to 78 with the addition of seven new cases from 761 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases since March 2020 to 63, 246.

The new cases were reported in Region Four (four cases), Region Seven (one case) and Region 10 (one case).

There are three patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, six patients are in institutional isolation and 62 patients are in home isolation. No additional deaths were recorded, as such the death toll remained at 1, 226.

To date, 61, 949 people have recovered.
