Mike’s Pharmacy owner dies during Florida cricket tour


The cricket and medical fraternities were thrown into mourning on Thursday evening following news of the sudden passing of Lakeram ‘Mike’ Singh.

The businessman was the owner of Mike’s Pharmacy and an avid softball player, sponsor, administrator and fan.

Singh suffered a massive heart attack on Thursday while in Florida participating in the Florida Cup 2022.

He was rushed to hospital, and later passed away.

Singh played an active role in softball cricket administration, having served on the executive of the Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association for many years.

He was also very active as a Masters player and sponsored the Mike’s Wellman and Wellwoman softball teams.
