Nine new COVID cases, eight more persons recover

Over the past 24 hours, nine new COVID-19 cases were reported based on information provided by the Ministry of Health in the daily COVID-19 dashboard.

These new infections were recorded after 1,811 COVID-19 tests were done. The new cases were recorded in Region Three (two cases) and Region Four (seven cases).

With the new infections, the total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020 has increased to 63,267. Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,226.

There are also four patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), seven people in institutional isolation, 10 people in institutional quarantine and 68 people in home isolation.

Importantly, eight more people recovered after they were infected with the disease. A total of 61,962 people have recovered.
