10 cases from 800 COVID tests

Another 10 people were infected with the novel coronavirus over a 24-hour period after 800 tests were done, the Ministry of Health reported in its daily COVID-19 dashboard on Tuesday.

The new cases were recorded in Region Four (two cases) and Region Six (eight cases).

The total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020, has now increased to 63,273. Importantly, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,226.

There are also increases in the number of people hospitalised; there are now five patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Additionally, nine people are in institutional isolation, 19 people are in institutional quarantine and 68 people are in home isolation.

There were eight additional recoveries; as such, the total number of people recovered remains at 61,975.
