11 cases from 1,059 COVID tests

Another 11 people were infected with the novel coronavirus over a 24-hour period after 1,059 tests were done, the Ministry of Health reported in its daily COVID-19 dashboard on Thursday.

The new cases were recorded in Region Four (three cases) and Region Six (seven cases).

The total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020, has now increased to 63,305. Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,226.

There are now five patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU); nine people are in institutional isolation, 18 people are in institutional quarantine and 85 people are in home isolation.

There were four additional recoveries; as such, the total number of people recovered increased to 61,980.
